On the Cambodian side, the Trapaing Kreal international border checkpoint is located in Stung Trèng Province, and on the Lao side, the Norg Nokbiane international border checkpoint is located in Champasak Province. Cambodia can be accessed from Laos through the gates. Visas on arrival are available there.

Cambodia can be accessed easily by water either at the Sihanouk International Seaport or Phnom Penh International Port. Visas on arrival are only available at Phnom Penh International Port. To reach Phnom Penh International Port, boats travel north up the Mekong River from Vietnam or south down the Tonle Sap River from Siem Reap or Laos.
